Chains

In order to truly excel at Tetris Attack, you MUST master the chain.  The only way to do that is with lots of patience and practice.  In Pokémon Puzzle League, there is a practice mode that's PERFECT for this!

A regular chain is when you match 3 or more pieces, and a chain reaction begins, and continues without you helping it at all once it starts. However, skill chains require you to keep setting up that next hit so your chain lasts as long as possible!

At first, skill chaining may be VERY difficult to pull off. It is not only a matter of learning how to manipulate the pieces faster, but it requires you to develop Chain Brain ©. Chain Brain © is when your mind becomes one with the game. With Chain Brain ©, you are so good at chains that you can almost always literally make the whole screen disappear with just one chain. And I'm not talking about taking 10 minutes to set up for it either. I'm talking about raising the stack all the way to the top, immediately matching 3 pieces somewhere in the middle of the screen, and work hit after hit, always moving faster than those pieces! With practice, it can be done!
